Thurrock Harriers is a small friendly athletics club in Blackshots which welcomes members and volunteers of all ages and abilities.

Members train and compete in a range of track, field, road running and cross country events.

We host many other athletics and sporting events such as Mencap sports, schools, young athletes and adult league events as well as run our own training sessions at the track.

We are a small group of parents and volunteers who run the club’s everyday events and we need more help.

Coaches:  most of our coaches started as parents of athletes who joined the club. We can support you in gaining the basic training to become a coach.

Officials: most of our officials also started as parents. You can help at matches doing simple jobs and if you are interested, you can take further qualifications to become an official.

Helping in the clubhouse: we always need help to provide refreshments in the canteen and keep the clubhouse clean.

General maintenance: the track, stadium, grass infield and toilets need regular maintenance and cleaning. Any time given to assist helps us all.
