22 Thurrock Harriers made the trip to Hilly Fields, Colchester on Saturday 16th Dec, for Rd4 of the Essex Cross Country League.
Our club was sporting our brand new club gazebo which was looking great in our club colours and providing much welcome shelter for our athletes.
First race of the day was the U11’s with Asya Nalcioglu running well finishing 39th.
Asa Hicks and Lucas Willett were in the competitive U17’s finishing strongly in 23rd and 33rd consecutively.
Our senior women’s team of four were next up with Kathryn Spring leading the team home in 19th. Brooke Mensah 56th, Jodie Farrell 65th and Malgorzata Baluka 67th completed the line up and are consistently moving up the field. The leading three in the race were all GB international runners which shows the strength of the field.
Our senior men continue to demonstrate their strength in depth with our first 6 scoring runners in the top 60.Sarab Dhillon once again led the team home in 8th. Chander Dhillon 16th, Taylor Newell 24th, Harvey Green 25th, Ifeoluwa Adebusoye 49th and Alec Finch 57th completed the scoring team. Our club strength continued with Thomas Peacock 70th, Scott Thrush 85th, Rob Doyle 94th, David Beatty 129th, Scott Rice 141st, Olatunde Phillips Akerele 170th, Kamil Tyrala 222nd, Chris Applegate 229th.
